HOST 1: Maintaining healthy eating routines can sometimes be difficult to maintain
during college. Everyone goes through changes during these college years and finding
balance away from home can be a challenge, especially for those with specialty diets.
PAUSE
HOST 1: The College of Saint Scholastica’s Food Service Department is committed
to providing the college community and guests with the highest quality nutritious
food. To accomplish this they use fresh ingredients, offer the best quality possible,
and present a varied menu for every person, including those with food restrictions.
By working one-on-one with the students, the food service program at the college
will accommodate any need that arises. The always dreaded “freshman fifteen” can
be a thing of the past, if you eat healthy, exercise, and make good lifestyle choices.
Today, schools nationwide follow MyPlate, a plate with designated area amounts of
what to include into the growing student’s meals. It is an added reminder to eat well
balanced meals, with fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains and low-fat milk
products, with inclusions for lean protein but restrictions placed on fat, salt and sugar.
PAUSE
HOST 1: A college student’s lifestyle can be hectic, with late-night studying and
endless amounts of homework. More stress can be added on when dietary restrictions
are a part of a person’s day to day living. Whether they are diabetic or have particular
food allergy, the Greenview Dining Room at the College of Saint Scholastica gives you
the opportunity to find out what students are feeding their body.
Again, the format is correct when I have it in the editing process, but when I publish it, the alignment is not correct. That is why I have been giving you paper copies as well.
Sorry.
